The 2024/25 season will serve off on Thursday, October 31 as the federation seeks to embrace technology.

The Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) has officially launched its 2024/25 season, set to serve off from Thursday, October 31, to Sunday, November 3, at the Kamukunji Grounds in Nyeri.

This new season promises to bring thrilling competition as the federation seeks to embrace the use of technology.

During the unveiling event held at the KCB Leadership Centre in Karen, Nairobi, KVF president Charles Nyaberi emphasized the importance of adopting global best practices in sports.

He highlighted the federation's commitment to innovation and technology as essential tools for enhancing the visibility and commercial value of volleyball in the country.

“We want to enhance the visibility, popularity, and commercial value of volleyball in Kenya. This is only possible by building a strong brand, attracting more fans, increasing media coverage, and securing sponsorship,” Nyaberi stated.

The digitalization campaign will entail a newly established Federation website (www.kvf.com), livestreaming of matches, live-scoring and a full-blown social media initiative intended to bring the sports closer to the spectator.

The upcoming season will feature intense competition in the men's Division 1, with prominent teams such as Prisons Western, NYS, GSU, Prisons Kenya, KPA, and KDF ready to vie for supremacy.

On the women’s side, teams like Kenya Pipeline, KCB, Nairobi Prisons, KDF, and Prisons Kenya are set to showcase their prowess battling out for the title.
