Mirra Aleksandrovna Andreeva is a Russian professional tennis player who has quickly risen to prominence in women's tennis.

Andreeva began playing tennis at the age of six, and she has demonstrated exceptional talent from a young age, culminating in her achieving the world No. 1 junior ranking on May 29, 2023.

Her professional career began in 2022 when she made her WTA Tour main draw debut at the 2022 Jasmin Open, receiving a wildcard entry. However, she faced an early setback, losing her first match to Anastasia Potapova.

In January 2023, Andreeva reached the girls' singles final at the Australian Open, where she was defeated by her doubles partner, Alina Korneeva. However, this marked the beginning of her breakthrough year. 

At the Madrid Open, at the age of 15, Andreeva won her first WTA Tour match, defeating Leylah Fernandez. This victory marked her as one of the youngest players to achieve a main-draw win at a WTA 1000 tournament.

She then proceeded to defeat higher-ranked opponents, including Beatriz Haddad Maia and Magda Linette, showcasing her ability to compete at the highest level. 

Her impressive run at the Madrid Open propelled her into the top 150 of the WTA rankings by May 8, 2023.

Andreeva made her Grand Slam debut at the French Open in 2023, qualifying for the main draw and winning her first major match against Alison Riske-Amritraj. She reached the third round, becoming the youngest player to do so since 2005. 

At Wimbledon, she continued her strong performance, reaching the fourth round. Her upward trajectory continued at the US Open, and by September 11, 2023, she reached a career-high ranking of No. 57. By the close of 2023, she had entered the top 50.

Andreeva then had an even more successful 2024. At the Brisbane International, she reached her first WTA Tour quarter-final.

At the Australian Open, she achieved her first top-10 win, defeating Ons Jabeur. She continued to perform strongly at Grand Slams, notably reaching the semi-finals of the French Open by defeating then-world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka in the quarters.

This effort pushed her into the top 25 on June 10, 2024. In July 2024, she won her maiden WTA career title at the Iași Open. 

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, she won a silver medal in women’s doubles with Diana Shnaider. By October 7, 2024, she entered the top 20. She finished 2024 by competing in the Ningbo open final.

Andreeva started 2025 strong, winning her first WTA Tour doubles title at the Brisbane International with Shnaider.

She also reached the singles semi-finals at the same event and reached a new career-high ranking of world No. 15 on January 6, 2025. 

She reached the fourth round of the Australian Open, falling to Sabalenka. 

At the Dubai Championships, Andreeva achieved further milestones, reaching her first WTA 1000 final, and after winning that final, she entered the top 10 on February 24, 2025.

At Indian Wells, she became the 2025 Indian Wells champion, defeating world No. 1 and No. 2 — Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek — en route to a second WTA 1000 success. 

By defeating Sabalenka in the championship match, Andreva became the third-youngest player to win the women's singles title in Tennis Paradise, older than Martina Hingis and Serena Williams, champions in 1998 and 1999, respectively.
