He was a highly successful junior player, achieving a combined ranking of world No. 3 in January 2022 and reaching the final of the 2022 Australian Open Junior singles, where he lost to Bruno Kuzuhara after suffering from cramps.

Mensik made significant strides on the ATP Challenger Tour in 2023. In May, at just 17 years old, he won the Sparta Prague Open, becoming the youngest Czech to win a Challenger title, emulating a feat last achieved by Tomas Berdych in 2003.

He also qualified for his first Grand Slam main draw at the US Open, where he defeated Grégoire Barrère and Titouan Droguet to reach the third round, becoming the youngest man to win a main draw match at the US Open since Borna Coric in 2014.

The 2024 season saw Menšík continue his impressive progress. He qualified for the Australian Open and defeated Denis Shapovalov.

He then competed in the Qatar ExxonMobil Open as part of the #NextGen programme, where he defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Andy Murray in a marathon match and top seed Andrey Rublev to reach his first ATP final.

In the final, he lost to Karen Khachanov but became the youngest player in the top 100 as a result. He also made his Masters debut at the BNP Paribas Open and reached the third round of the Madrid Open.

In 2025, Mensik has continued to achieve milestones. He reached the third round of the Australian Open after upsetting Casper Ruud, thus recording his fifth top-10 victory.

Mensik embarked on a remarkable run at the Miami Open, reaching his first Masters semi-final after victories over Jack Draper, Roman Safiullin and Arthur Fils.

He then reached the final, defeating world No. 4 Taylor Fritz, marking the biggest win of his career by ranking for his seventh top-10 victory.

In a stunning final, Mensik defeated his idol Djokovic in straight sets, 7-6(4), 7-6(4), to win his maiden Masters title. The triumph propelled him into the top 25 of the ATP rankings

After the final, Mensik revealed that he had been close to withdrawing from the tournament due to knee pain, highlighting the resilience he showed throughout his victorious run.
