Following his declaration that Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium has completely installed the playing surface and goals, stadium developer Hamis Kiggundu has received mixed reactions.
While there has been backlash from a given section of football enthusiasts, most of the reaction has been positive in celebration of the milestone.

Both huge football followers, the duo took to social media after releasing the latest photos of the renovated Nakivubo to appreciate the diligent work.
"You delivered on your promise, sir, thank you," tweeted Ykee Benda on his social media handles.
Bruno K then posted one of the latest images of Nakivubo Stadium and captioned it 'Uganda esinga America' (Uganda is better than America.)
While works are still ongoing, they are in their final stages, giving a sigh of relief that football action at the historical stadium is close.
After receiving the playing surface over a month ago, the artificial turf, whose installation has been ongoing, is now fully fitted, and lines have been drawn in the usual white markings.

This is in addition to the seats in the stands that were put months back - everything symbolising a new lease of life.
