Under fire, Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic aka Micho, has urged football fans to 'relax'.
The Serbian has been on the receiving end from football fans calling for his sacking following Uganda's rollercoaster ride in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign.
With six points up for grabs, Cranes coach Micho downplayed the pressure from the fans.
Reaching out on Twitter, he bragged about his historic feat, leading the Uganda Cranes to the continental showpiece in 2018.
"Even if I have done only this, it's enough to stay in the history books of Ugandan football forever with golden letters," Micho tweeted before adding.
"Will repeat with the youngest team ever in respect to patriotic Ugandans whose love for country is much bigger than hatred and sabotage to any individual. Relax."
Uganda got a sigh of relief with substitute Rogers Mato scoring the solitary goal against Tanzania in Dar es Salaam to send the Cranes third on the log with the same points as the Taifa Stars.
Other group opponents, Algeria, have since sealed qualification while Niger languishes at rock bottom.
The three stand a chance to join Algeria, with Uganda playing host to the table leaders as Tanzania hosts Niger in June, and the final qualification matches are slated for September.
