After a deflected Ajibade shot, Uchenna Kanu scored for the Super Falcons to equalize the game at the break.
Ajibade's shot was saved but Osinachi Ohale was able to convert to put the Super Falcons in front
Due to Australia's poor defense, Oshoala was able to score the third goal.
In a surprise triumph, the Super Falcons were able to hold on and upset the home team, moving them into first place in the group.

Atletico Madrid star Rasheedat Ajibade was a key player for the Super Falcons in the victory.
She took to her official social media platforms to celebrate the victory.

Ajibade missed the Super Falcons opener against Canada but returned in style against Australia.
She will aim to help the Super Falcons progress to the second round when they take on Ireland in their final group game scheduled for Monday, July 31, 2023.
