Nigeria vs Equatorial Guinea
There haven't been many games played between the two countries, but Nigerians are still proud of their double against their southern neighbors in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
Joseph Yobo scored the game's lone goal in Malabo, and the Eagles went on to win 4-0 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
Ahmed Musa on Super Eagles vs Equatorial Guinea
“It is always interesting to play in the Africa Cup of Nations.
"I was a champion in 2013, same as (defender Kenneth) Omeruo.
"However, the rest of the team want to have that feeling of what it means to win the Africa Cup of Nations. Everyone is geared towards making a statement.
“It is not going to be a picnic. The teams in our group, including Equatorial Guinea that we play tomorrow, are strong and ambitious as well.
"It is for us to go all out for the three points in each of our games, and then take it from there in the knock-out rounds. We will take it one match at a time.”
Following the pre-game press conference on Saturday, Nigerian captain Ahmed Musa told the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)that the Super Eagles are focused on winning the three points and that they have no regrets about their goal.
The catchphrase of Nigeria's campaign, "Let's Do It Again," was coined moments after the team qualified for the finals.
Its goal is to inspire and drive the team to repeat its successes from 1980, 1994, and 2013, as well as to rally football-loving Nigerians to support and inspire the team to action.
