The former striker was pictured in an uncompromising position as he relieved himself against a wall after attending a boxing gala in London at the weekend.

England and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has never shied away from controversy and even in retirement, he still attracts it.

Rooney made headlines for not behaving so well after night outs during his storied football career with Manchester United and England with some of those misdemeanors landing him in trouble, especially under Sir Alex Ferguson.

This past weekend, Rooney courted further controversy when he was pictured doing something not so good on the eye after he had attended the British Boxing Awards 2025 at The Langham Hotel in London on Friday.

According to The Sun, Rooney, who was looking sharp in a black suit, white shirt and a black tie, was spotted relieving himself on a wall after which he went on to join friends for a night out.

The former striker looked to have found it difficult to hold it and opted to pee on a wall, oblivious of who was looking or what was going on around him.

Rooney is reported to have headed to The Nest Rooftop bar in the capital where he partied until 2am as he continues to enjoy his life out of the game.

The 39-year-old spent 13 trophy-laden years at United where he scored 253 goals in 559 games and remains the club’s record goal scorer while he managed 53 goals in 120 games for England which made him his country’s leading scorer before Harry Kane overtook him.

Rooney got into coaching after retirement, starting with Derby County before moving to the US with DC United and returned home to the UK to manage Birmingham City and then Plymouth, with little success in all of them, and he is now working as a pundit for various media outlets.
