In June 2022, multiple reports emerged that Cristiano Ronaldo’s rape case was thrown out of court by a US judge.
The 38-year-old Portugal international had been the subject of the rape claims after meeting a lady known as Kathryn Mayorga in 2009 in Las Vegas.
CNN reported that US district judge Jennifer Dorsey was unhappy over the way documents filed to the court were obtained and said Mayorga's lawyer Leslie Mark Stovall conducted himself in bad faith by using leaked and stolen documents.

Back in 2009, Ronaldo was in Las Vegas for his events, and it was there he met Kathryn Mayorga in Palms Casino Resort Move Club on July 13th.
In accordance with her statement, Cristiano invited her and others to his guesthouse to have a view of the city.

During a press conference in Las Vegas, Mayorga’s attorney Leslie Stovall said that she had "considered suicide" and suffered emotional and mental damage, which he attributed to the alleged rape.
