Chido Martins Obi for Denmark at Euro U-17
Denmark defeated Wales 2-0 at the Dasaki Stadium in Achna thanks to goals each side of halftime, giving the Scandinavian country a strong start in Group B of the 2024 European U17 Championship.

With nine goals in a row in the U18 Premier League, Obi-Martin was in excellent form going into the U17 Euro, his first big competition for Denmark. This brought his total for the 2023–2024 season to 32 goals from eighteen appearances.
While still in school, the 16-year-old beat Folarin Balogun's record for the most goals scored by an Arsenal player in the U18 Premier League in a single season.
In the second minute of stoppage time, Obi-Martin broke the tie when, following a through pass from Noah Markmann, he wrapped around the Wales goalkeeper and tapped into the net.

Since making his U17 debut against Norway in August 2023, Obi-Martin has now netted eleven goals in fifteen games for Denmark's national team.
To find out who will advance from Group B, Martins will feature for Denmark against Austria and Croatia.
Chido Martins hopes to join Dominic Solanke and Victor Moses, who were the tournament's top scorers in 2007 and 2014, as the third player of Nigerian descent to win the Golden Boot at the European U17 Championship.

Obi trending a few months back with he scored seven goals as Arsenal's under-18 team defeated Norwich City 9-0.

The same agency that represents Arsenal player Bukayo Saka, Elite Project Group, said earlier this week that it has now included Martin Obi in its roster of athletes.
At the international youth level, Martin Obi, whose mother is Danish and whose father is Nigerian, has represented both Denmark and England.
