The Team USA Rugby Sevens bronze medalist has captured hearts on DWTS inspiring even her youngest fans with her strength.

American rugby star Ilona Maher melted hearts with her response to an adorable 4-year-old fan who cheered her on during Dancing with the Stars show’s semifinal round.

The young fan, named Evy, expressed her admiration in the most touching way, leaving Maher emotional and deeply grateful for the support.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Maher shared a clip of little Evy watching her semifinal performance alongside her mother.

Overwhelmed by the child’s reaction, Maher captioned the post, "The cutest thing I've ever seen."

In the video, Evy can be seen brimming with excitement, clapping and cheering as Maher and her dance partner Alan Bersten took to the floor.

Pointing to the screen, Evy enthusiastically exclaimed, “Woohoo. I’m going to be like her when I grow up. Look at her, mom. Go Ilona, Go Ilona. Get it, girl. She was Louisa.”

Evy’s mother followed up, asking her daughter why she loved Maher. Without hesitation, Evy replied, “Because she looks so beautiful.”

When her mother pressed further, asking if Evy wanted to grow up to be like the DWTS semifinalist, the child’s response tugged at heartstrings everywhere: “Yes. She’s strong, she’s kind, she’s smart, she’s everything.”

The video ends with Evy enthusiastically sending heart gestures to Maher, cheering, “Go, queen.”

The heartwarming interaction came as Maher and Bersten danced their way into the DWTS finale, securing their spot with dazzling performances that earned widespread praise.

During the semifinal, the pair performed two routines: a passionate Pasodoble to the orchestral version of “Unholy” by Sam Smith and Kim Petras, and an elegant Viennese Waltz to “Golden Hour” by JVKE.

Their Pasodoble earned Maher her first perfect 10 from judge Derek Hough, alongside nines from the remaining judges.

Their Viennese Waltz elevated their total score to 57, thanks to two more 10s and a nine. The high scores not only solidified their place in the finale but also marked a personal best for Maher this season.

Following their semifinal success, Maher dedicated an emotional Instagram post to her dance partner Alan Bersten, reflecting on their journey together.

“I wanted to dedicate this dance to the best partner I could have hoped for on this show, Alan,” Maher wrote.

“This experience has been one I will remember for the rest of my life with fondness because of what you made it for me. It has not always been easy, and I still can’t figure out how to finish my arms, but every hour with you in the studio has been a pleasure. Let’s give our all this week one last time.”

Maher’s appearances on Dancing with the Stars have captivated audiences of all ages, and her connection with fans like Evy highlights the unique impact of her journey on the show.

While her powerful dance routines showcase her athleticism and artistry, moments like these reveal her humility and ability to inspire.

The finale, set for November 26, promises an exciting culmination to an unforgettable season.
