Shujaa were dominant all through Saturday as day one of the Safari Sevens tournament got underway.
Kenya Sevens proved to be kings of the Safaris Sevens after day one, brushing aside South Africa All-Stars, Uganda, and Tropic Sevens, virtually leaving them with just one more foot in the semi-finals.
Their display against Tropic Sevens epitomized their superiority on the day, clearly trying to conserve their energy ahead of day two.
Their first two successfully converted tries were a classic case of tearing easily through the defence before practically walking the ball towards the try line through John Okoth and co-captain Vincent Onyala.
Patrick Odongo would then run down the right wing like a knife through butter to put Shuja 21 to the good,

Onyala has revealed how he will lead the current crop of “Gen Z” Shujaa players to help the side return to the heights of challenging for major honours.

RUGBY Kevin Wekesa reveals why completing his studies will help a huge deal in making Kenya Sevens do well in 2024
Wekesa admitted that it had been difficult to strike a balance between rugby and mechanical engineering studies, but given he has now completed them ahead of a year set to be monumental for his international career, it will help a great deal.
After overcoming Western Province and Samurai in their first two fixtures, Morans, who serve as the junior side to Shujaa, were made to pay for their complacency as KCB beat them 22-7,
KCB themselves, made amends for their opening two losses to Samurai, which they went down 17-5 and 33-17 to Germany but beat Western Province 17-7 in their third match.
