The Fiji-born flyhalf has returned to Kenya after a two-month break and will add to Kabras Sugar’s lethal attack that has been brushing aside rivals with ease to stay top of the table
Kabras Sugar are set to add more firepower to their ranks following the return of playmaker Jone Kubu from his holiday in his native Fiji.
Kubu has been absent from the sugar millers’ opening five Kenya Cup games after he was given some time off following a daunting season for his club and national team.
However, Kabras have not missed him, recording huge wins in his absence and his return will send shivers down the spines of their rivals.

RUGBY Kenya Cup: Kabras Sugar, KCB continue dominance as Mwamba & Homeboyz see fire
Kabras Sugar recorded yet another huge Kenya Cup win with KCB silencing Strathmore while Mwamba RFC and Homeboyz stay winless after five rounds of matches
“Someone has just touched down from Fiji ready to continue where he left,” Kabras posted online after Kubu returned to the country.
Kabras hammered Mwamba RFC 87-0 on Saturday to maintain their top position in what was their fifth straight win.
The victory comes after they beat Homeboyz 71-6 last weekend, hammered Catholic Monks 78-0, beat Nondescripts 40-0, and Kisumu RFC 72-10 in December.
"Kubu comes back next week refreshed and ready to play for us. He had a busy 2022 so we gave him time off to recharge his batteries and be with his family in Fiji and I am confident it will be a big boost to have him back,” Kabras coach Carlos Katywa told The Star last week.
Kabras are the team to beat again this season as they have conceded just 16 points from five matches and recorded bonus point wins in all their games.
They strengthened further in the midseason transfer window, adding Baden Hayo, Phelix Bukhuste, Lameck Ambetsa and Gibson Perez, all fro from Masinde Muliro University, Emmanuel Otieno from Impala and Ugandan Eliphaz Emong from Jinja Hippos.
Kubu will likely be unleashed next Saturday when Kabras take on seventh-placed Strathmore Leos in Nairobi.
