RUGBY KRU parts ways with CEO Aggrey Wabulwenyi by mutual consent

In the interim, KRU announced that Mr. Thomas Odundo will take charge as the acting Chief Executive Officer.

The Kenya Rugby Union Board of Directors on Sunday morning, May 28 announced that they have parted ways with the Chief Executive Officer, Aggrey Wabulwenyi, by mutual consent.

In a press statement, KRU extended a hand of gratitude to Wabulwenyi and wished him the best of luck going forward.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Wabulwenyi for his service to the Kenya Rugby Union and the game of rugby and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” part of the statement read.

In the interim, KRU announced that Mr. Thomas Odundo will take charge as the acting Chief Executive Officer.

“Mr. Odundo currently serves as the KRU Director of Rugby and boasts of vast knowledge and experience as a former international player, coach and administrator,” the statement continued.

KRU noted that they will initiate a competitive recruitment process for an new CEO and plans to fill the post in due course.
