After a hat-trick of wins in day one of the 2024 Women's Africa Rugby Sevens, Kenya Lionesses revisit their business hosts Ghana in the quarter-finals after narrowly edging them in pool B.

The Kenya Lionesses are riding high after an unbeaten Day 1 performance at the 2024 Women's Africa Rugby Sevens in Accra, Ghana, where they stormed through their pool matches with three impressive wins.

The Lionesses will now face host nation Ghana in the quarterfinals on Sunday, a matchup that promises a fierce rematch after Kenya narrowly bested Ghana in pool play.

The Lionesses opened the tournament with a powerful statement, defeating Mauritius 61-0 in their first fixture of Pool B.

They followed up with a hard-fought 10-5 victory over Ghana before capping the day with a thrilling 22-17 win over Madagascar, securing their position at the top of the pool.

As Day 2 begins, the Lionesses are set to revisit their showdown with Ghana in the quarterfinals.

The fixture will be the first of the four quarterfinal matchups scheduled for Sunday.

The second clash will see Uganda, also in strong form, take on Tunisia.

The third quarterfinal between Madagascar and Zambia is expected to be a close contest, with both teams playing with impressive intensity to stay in the running for the tournament’s top three spots.

South Africa, the tournament favorite, is expected to cruise past Senegal in the final quarterfinal.

Meanwhile, teams including Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, Mauritius, and Côte d'Ivoire will enter the play-offs, competing for lower placements in the tournament.

With a spot in the 2025 Challenger Series on the line, the Lionesses will look to continue their momentum in Sunday’s quarterfinal and advance to the tournament’s final stages
