Kabras are set to face KCB in yet another final showdown of the 2023/2024 Kenya Cup season.
Kabras Sugar's head coach Carlos Katywa has issued a challenge to their long-standing rivals KCB, ahead of the Kenya Cup final this season.
Following their decisive 37-09 victory over Nondescripts, Katywa, displaying confidence, stated that they had already geared up for the final clash against either KCB or Menengai Oilers.
“Without any fear or favor to say, we were just waiting for either (Menengai Oilers or KCB) because we planned ahead; we had already planned for the finals for either.

RUGBY KCB coach praises Festus Shiasi, tips returning Chipu captain Michael Wamalwa for Kenya Sevens call up
Wamalwa featured on the flanks against Menengai Oilers following his return from an ACL tear, while Shiasi was made to work hard on the other flank as KCB booked a Kenya Cup final place.
“Not to sound cocky, I don't think there is anything we can put into the players to change anything, it’s a matter of doing a reflection of this game and then looking into the KCB versus Oilers game - and see what they did differently and where we can exploit them and what new trends they have.”
Additionally, Katywa acknowledged the need to address errors exposed during their semi-final encounter with Nondies to ensure the team's readiness for the final showdown.
"We've got some work-ons for the next two weeks," Katywa commented on their preparation timeline.
"I'm very proud of my forwards, we've dominated upwards but I can't say the same about the backs - there was a lot of poor decision making."
