Nondies upset formbook to claim Tisap Sevens title in sudden death
In a tournament filled with upsets, Nondies were the unlikely winners of the penultimate leg of the National Sevens Circuit after flooring Strathmore in Eldoret
The Eldoret leg has, however, shown that it is not a two-horse race for the National Sevens Circuit title and the leading duo will be wary at Kabeberi after Nondescripts claimed the Tisap tournament trophy against all odds.
Strathmore Leos, who lost 12-7 to Nondies in Sunday’s final, are third on the log on 82 points while National Sevens Circuit defending champions Menengai Oilers are fourth on 71.
Mwamba, who finished third following a 12-7 victory over Oilers, in Eldoret, are fifth on 69 points while Kenya Harlequins slipped down the table to sixth on 66 following their Challenge Cup victory.
The biggest gainers are Nondies who now have 50 points in seventh place having come into the fifth leg with just 28 points.
