KCB will lock horns with Kenya Harlequin as Nondies seek to gain revenge over hot Kabras Sugar in Enterprise Cup semi-final action on Saturday.

The highly-anticipated Enterprise Cup semi-finals are set to resume this weekend, with KCB RFC taking on Kenya Harlequin at the KCB Sports Club, Ruaraka.

Under the leadership of head coach Curtis Olago, KCB are in pursuit of their sixth Enterprise Cup title. The Bankers have shown formidable form, having trounced Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) 70-3 in the pre-quarterfinals and defeated Northern Suburbs 65-7 in the quarters.

Olago expressed the team's eagerness and readiness for the semi-finals, noting the importance of this historic competition in strengthening the country’s rugby scene.

“KCB is eager to participate in the semis of this historic competition that has strengthened the country's rugby game,” Olago said.

“Some of our boys took part in the Rugby Super Series, while others have been intensifying their training to be ready for this event. We are urging our fans to rally behind the team on Saturday.”

KCB's lineup features key players such as Bob Muhati, Levy Amunga, Brian Wahinya, Emmanuel Opondo, and Michael Wamalwa, who are expected to lead the charge towards the title.

Despite a recent loss in the Kenya Cup final to Kabras (5-29), Olago hopes that clinching the Enterprise Cup will provide a significant morale boost for the team as they gear up for the National Sevens Circuit, beginning in July.

Kenya Sevens co-captain Vincent Onyala and Samuel Asati will be absent from the weekend’s action as they are competing in the World Sevens Grand final in Madrid, Spain from May 31 to June 2.

Defending champions Kabras Sugar will face Nondescripts at the Kakamega Showground in Kakamega Town. Kabras, aiming for their fourth consecutive title, have had a smooth journey to the semi-finals with walkovers from Mwamba RFC and Strathmore Leos in the earlier rounds.

Nondescripts secured their semi-final spot by defeating Mean Machine 12-3 in the quarterfinals, after receiving a walkover from Mount Kenya University (MKU) Thika in the round of 16.

As both teams prepare for their respective semi-final clashes, fans can expect thrilling matches filled with intense competition and high stakes. The outcomes of these games will determine who advances to the final, bringing them one step closer to claiming the prestigious Enterprise Cup title.
