KCB will face Kabras Sugar in the quater finals to headline day two action of the the 2024 Christie 7s tournament.
KCB were stunned in their final match of the 2024 SportPesa 7s circuit at the Christie 7s where Nondies secured a narrow 17-14 victory.
This unexpected result led to KCB finishing second in Pool A while Nondies confirmed their place at the top of the pool during the third round of day one action.
KCB, missing several players due to international duty, struggled against a dominant Nondies side. Nondies took control early, scoring the first try, although it was poorly converted. Ben Salem then added another well-converted try, pushing Nondies to a 12-0 lead.
Jacob Ojee managed to reduce the deficit for KCB with a try, successfully converted, making it 12-7. However, Nyaenya Moseti of Nondies scored again, extending their lead to 17-7 at halftime.
Despite a well-converted try by Levy Amunga for KCB, reducing the gap to 14 points, it wasn’t enough to stage a comeback. Nondies secured their place at the top of Pool A with three wins out of three.
