The organisers of the event noted that fans should expect an intense battle between these two champions as they compete for the top spot on the podium.

The fourth edition of the RX Rallycross event scheduled for May 6 and 7 at the People's Park in Machakos will see a showdown between Carl Flash Tundo and Baldev Charger.

Excitement is already building up ahead of the clash between the duo, who will be renewing their rivalry one more time.

In his own capacity, Tundo is a three-time Safari Rally Champion, with titles won in 2009, 2011, and 2012. He is also a three-time Guru Nanak Rally champion where he won in 2011, 2012, and 2017.

Charger, a veteran rally driver, and also a multiple Kenya National Rally Champion. He is three-time East Africa Safari Classic and Safari Rally champion (2013, 2014, and 2019).

The organisers of the event noted that fans should expect an intense battle between these two champions as they compete for the top spot on the podium.

However, Tundo and Charger are not the only ones to watch out for since the event will also see a host of new class competitors taking part, including several female drivers such as Natasha Tundo, an acclaimed motorsport driver, who will be taking part in her first rallycross event.

"We're thrilled to have such a diverse range of drivers competing this year. In its third edition, it’s fantastic to see events like RX advertising the rallycross sport, a testament to its growth and ability to attract new talent in a short period of time,” Tundo, an organiser and participant of the event, said.

The event is sponsored by Kenya Breweries Limited through their Whitecap brand and will see the company renew its long-term association with motorsport that has seen them involved in events including Rhino Charge and Kenya National Rally Championship in the past year.

"We're proud to be part of such an exciting RX Rally event as we continue to champion the important message around responsible drinking," Prudence Mukami, Whitecap Brand Manager, said.

The RX Rallycross event is just one of many newer motorsport engagements that are tapping into the growing and newer crop of drivers and fans in Kenya, boding well for the future of the sport.
