Kabras have now made it two leg wins in a row, having won the Driftwood Sevens series in Mombasa three weeks ago.
At the just-concluded Prinsloo Sevens, they unfortunately lost 5-10 to Kabras Sugar in the Main Cup final but Murunga still remains impressed.

"From Mombasa, we went back to the drawing board and we learnt from our mistakes, and from our display here, it’s evident that we were able to correct most of our mistakes,” he said.
However, Quins were not off to a good start in Nakuru as they drew 26-26 in their opening match against Blak Bad before charging up to carry the day after winning 26-5 over KCB.
He also lauded Mwamba RFC for putting up a good fight against them in their quarterfinals where his side won 17-0. Their semifinal match was against Menengai Oilers where they stunned the Nakuru-based side 14-12.
“We didn’t start off well but things worked in our favour. The boys have really impressed and that’s what we are working towards going forward. It was a good show for us from day one.
