Especially every time he has visited Rwanda to cheer the Silverbacks and Gazelles in basketball competition.

Looks like that dream is about to come true after President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni met with officials from Summa, a Turkish construction company.

The same company that constructed the Kigali Arena and other international indoor facilities across the African continent.
"The government of Uganda has partnered with Summa, a Turkish construction company, to construct a modern state-of-the-art multipurpose indoor sports complex with a seating capacity of 15,000 people," a press statement from the Presidential Press Unity revealed on Tuesday night.

"The complex will be set up at the premises of the National Council of Sports (NCS) at Lugogo, Kampala," the statement added after the meeting between the president, the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, Ogwang and officials from Summa Construction Company.

Not clear where exactly in Lugogo will the facility be erected, but it will include a multipurpose indoor Arena with a seating capacity of 15,000 people.
It will also have a small indoor sports Arena with a seating capacity of 3,000 people, a 25m- eight (8) lane swimming pool, a multi-purpose standard pitch and an athlete hostel with a capacity of 60 people.

The Complex will also have an accommodation facility with 120 rooms as well as a showroom, shopping centre and a state-of-the-art fitness gym, among other amenities.
Other details of when the work will commence, and end are yet to be revealed, but the project now joins the long list of sports facilities that have been endorsed by the president but are yet to see the light of day.
