It's all systems go for the inaugural tournament.
National champions Kenya Pipeline Company and the General Service Unit are among the 19 volleyball teams that will participate in the inaugural Paul Bitok national tournament set for April 7 to 9.
The event which will be staged at the Nyayo National Stadium Indoor Gymnasium, has attracted a total of eight teams including the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, KCB, Kenya Defense Forces and Kenya Army. Others are Kenya Prisons, Kenya Pipeline, Nairobi Water and Nairobi Prisons.
The men’s category has a total of 20 teams in the mix including KDF, Administration Police Kenya, Kenya Ports Authority, and Equity Bank. Trailblazers, GSU, Kenya Army, Prisons Kenya, KAPU Kenya, Kenya Forest Service, Prisons Nairobi, and RWANDAIR will also be participating.

VOLLEYBALL Pipeline's Leonida Kasaya shares biggest struggle after returning from maternity leave
Kasaya was a vital part of the Oilers last weekend as they secured wins in the KVF National League.
The draw for the tournament will be held on Wednesday, April 5 at the Sports view hotel in Kasarani with the Kenya Volleyball Federation president Waithaka Kioni gracing the event. The men’s category will have four pools while the female category will have two pools.
The Organiser of the tournament Paul Bitok, who doubles up as the national women's team coach Paul Bitok said: “We are expecting a very competitive and entertaining tournament. The clubs know how important this event is, as it gives them a platform to gauge themselves ahead of the African Clubs championships to be held in Tunisia in the month of May.’’
