Team Kenya is gearing up for a dynamic week across multiple sports at the Paris Olympics aiming for top performances and medals.

Team Kenya is set to shine at the Paris Olympics this week with athletes participating in a range of sports from volleyball to track and field.

The action kicks off on Wednesday, July 31, with a highly anticipated match as the Kenyan women's volleyball team takes on Poland in the preliminary rounds at 10:00 pm.

Moving into Thursday, the spotlight shifts to judo, where Zeddy Cherotich of the Kenya Defense Forces will compete at the Champ-de-Mars Arena Mat 2.

The pace picks up on Friday morning at 7:30am with Samuel Gathimba in the Men's 20km Race Walk.

Saturday, August 2, is packed with events starting at noon with Maria Brunlehner competing in the Women’s 50m Freestyle heats.

Later the same day, at 2:00pm, the Kenyan women’s volleyball team return to action against Japan.

At 6:45 PM, the athletics track will heat up with the Women’s 800m heats featuring Kenyan runners Mary Moraa, Naomi Korir, and Lilian Odira.

All three athletes have been in formidable form, and expectations are high for at least one of them to secure a spot in the semifinal.

Minutes after the 800m heats, at 8:45 PM, the 4x400m mixed relay team consisting of Veronica Mutua, Mercy Chebet, Kelvin Tauta, and Boniface Mweresa will take to the track.

The day concludes with the Men's 10000m at 10:00pm, where Daniel Mateiko, Nicholas Kipkorir, and Bernard Kibet will represent Kenya.

This trio of long-distance runners is set to challenge some of the best in the world with each having posted impressive times in the lead-up to the Olympics.

On Sunday, August 3, at 12:45 PM, sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala will compete in the Men's 100m heats.

Omanyala, who has broken numerous records and is currently Africa’s fastest man, carries the hopes of a nation eager for success in the sprints.
