MFSK will also have a special awards category under the sporting and non-sporting disciplines.
The Motorcycle Sports Federation of Kenya is set to host the MSFK national awards on March 11 at the Nairobi Polo Club.
The federation aims to award the winners in the 2022 season in the Motorcross (MX), Enduro, Rally Raid and Regional Champions categories.
Seven riders will be feted in Motorcross while six others in Enduro. It was noted that MFSK will also have a special awards category under the sporting and non-sporting disciplines.
They will include the lady rider of the year, meritorious award, sustainability, women in motorcycling, personality of the year, club of the year, Karin Bernadi and Angus young awards.
From a statement released by the federation secretary Judy Luyo, it was noted that last year featured the highest number of competitors in all the disciplines in history.
“Last year saw the introduction of ladies class in the national championship for the first time and also a huge growth in junior riders, both male and female, in the Enduro category,” the statement read in part.
The awards will also recognise the winners of the 2022 Rally Raid (Bike) season and the winners of the FIM Africa Central Challenge.
The event is set to be attended by officials from the Ministry of Sports, Affiliated associated members of MFSK and club members of the motorcycling community.
