Greece is also home to another Malkia Strikers ace Sharon Chepchumba.

Outside hitter Veronica Adhiambo has been rewarded a two-year contract at Greece volleyball Club GS Panionios.

GS Panionios is a top Greece volleyball club who will also play in the European Super League having finished seventh in the domestic league last season.

The 23-year-old expressed her excitement towards joining the club and promised to work even harder.

“I’ll do the best for the success of my new club in the 2023-24 season and it will be smooth preparation for me before the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers with Kenya,” Adhiambo told Afro Sports News.

In a previous interview, the hitter had revealed that her eyes are now set on the lucrative Turkish top-tier next season where she will be looking to rub shoulders with the cream of women’s volleyball, including Serbia’s Tijana Boskovic, Brazil’s Gabriela 'Gabi' Guimaraes, and Italy’s Paola Egonu.

The outside hitter who has been an integral part of Malkia Strikers, the Kenyan national women’s volleyball team, is optimistic of a better performance next season.

Meanwhile, the Kenyan international had also been a vital player at Tarsus Belediyespor, a Turkish 1 Ligi side she joined on a one-year contract last year in October.

Since then, she has taken the Turkish league by storm after walking straight into Tarsus’s first team. She led her team to a 16th place finish out of 24 teams in the Turkish Women's Volleyball League last season.

Greece is also home to another Malkia Strikers ace Sharon Chepchumba.
