St. Anthony's Boys High School claimed third place with a slender 13-12 victory over Ofafa Jericho High School from Nairobi.

The Western region school reached the sevens final during last year’s nationals in Nakuru before falling to Koyonzo Boys Secondary School.
Butula succeeded schools rugby powerhouse Kakamega High School, which was missing the tournament for the first time in many years.

The Barbarians, as they are popularly known, were eliminated from the championship during the Western Region Secondary Schools Term One Games early this month after they failed to win any of their pool games.
Before the match, Butula coach Shimenga Livondo said his team needed the trophy to wipe the tears after losing the 7s title to Koyonzo Boys Secondary School.
“We are now in the business end of this competition and cannot afford to make any mistakes, or else our title ambitions will go up in smoke,” he said after beating Ofafa Jericho yesterday.
In boy's hockey, Musingu High School are the new champions after defeating St. Anthony Secondary School 1-0, while Nyamira High School emerged the winner in the girls category after defeating Tigoi Girls by a similar margin.

In Basketball, Laiserhill Academy won the boy’s title, while Butere Girls emerged victorious in the girls' category after seeing off Kaya Tiwi from Kwale County.
