Defending champions KCB have yet again stamped authority at the ongoing Women’s African Clubs Championship with a 3-0 win over National Alcohol of Ethiopia.
KCB started off on a high after thrashing the Ethiopian side 25-20 in the first set before charging up and securing a 25-12 win in the second set. KCB then silenced the opponents 25-9 in the third set.

VOLLEYBALL KCB bubbling with confidence ahead of African Women’s Clubs Volleyball Championships
During last year’s edition, KCB put up a good fight to record a 3-1 win over Al Ahly of Egypt in the final of the event.
In their opening match against Nyong of Cameroon, they also secured a 3-0 win when they stunned the opponents 25-7, 25-20 and 25-16 in the first, second and third sets respectively.
In a previous interview before the team left the country, head coach Japheth Munala was confident that his charges will prevail as he seeks to win back-to-back titles in the continental show.
“We know what we are going to in Tunisia since we have been there before. I believe the pressure will not be that much for us. We are ready for the event and I’m expecting us to win,” he said.
Meanwhile, National League champions Kenya Pipeline Company were also off to a good start as they secured a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Naval of Nigeria.

KCB Women’s Volleyball Team will represent the country in the women’s event from May 12-22.
The Oilers started the campaign with a 25-12 in the first set but then lost the second set 21-25. They then charged up and won the third and fourth sets 25-13 and 27-25 respectively.
