Kano Pillars got their first win of the second phase of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2023 after they defeated Benue Buffaloes in the men's category on Friday.
The defending champion, who have had a torrid time this season, returned to winning ways as they comfortably beat Benue Buffaloes 33-24 while Tojemarine Academy of Lagos extended their good form as they defeated Correction Boys 29-22.

In the female category, defending champion Safety Babes remained unbeaten this season after they defeated Seasider Babes of Lagos 36-24 while Plateau Peacocks defeated Defender Babes 21-20.
Bendel Dynamos beat Bayelsa Queens 30-24 and Rima Queens had the highest win of match day three as they earned a comfortable 42-28 victory over Benue Queens.

The other game of the day saw Delta Queens pull off the shock of the match day following a 29-26 win over Imo Grasshoppers.
