CRICKET Cricket Kenya bounce back to secure win over Rwanda at Continental Cup T20

This marks their fourth win out of the five matches they have played.

The men’s national cricket team bounced back from their loss to secure a win by seven wickets over Rwanda at the ongoing Continental Cup T20 tournament held at the Gymkhana Sports Club.

Rwanda won the toss and elected to bat first, and by the end of their 18 overs, they had managed 92 runs. Team Kenya, who were chasing the target, made light work of Team Rwanda, as they surpassed the target after 14 overs only after they hit 98 runs.

This marks their fourth win out of the five matches they have played. In their rematch against Uganda on Tuesday, June 13, Team Kenya faltered and lost by 43 runs. That was their first loss since the tournament started on Friday, June 9.

In their opening match against Rwanda, Team Kenya won by three wickets. They extended the hot streak in their second match on Saturday, June 10, to defeat Uganda by 89 runs.

Kenya won the toss and were elected to bat first. By the 20th over, they had accumulated 185 runs against Uganda, who only managed 96 runs.

On Sunday, June 11, Team Kenya proved to be unbeatable after stunning visitors Botswana. The visitors won the toss and were elected to bat first, but it wasn’t a good day in the office for them.

By the end of 20 overs, Team Botswana had only accumulated 92 runs out of eight wickets. It was Team Kenya's turn to bat, and they gave the Botswanans a hard time but managed to win courtesy of their 98 runs.
