Mutuku also noted that they will be keen to mentor the junior athletes since they are the future of the nation.

The National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) is not resting on its laurels as they believe planning ahead is the key to success.

NOC-K Secretary General Francis Mutuku revealed that the federation already has a 2032 Olympic Games master plan. He added that if NOC-K wants to change the narrative and keep bagging medals in international events, they need to invest in long-term planning.

"In terms of planning, we are looking between now to the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane. We want to ensure that Kenya is represented in most sports and that's why we want to invest time and resources to ensure that we do well in the events.

"We have slightly less than 10 years to plan and that's why we want to be a step ahead. We have to start long-term preparation and know what we want by the end of four years, we shall always continue wishing and praying for good performances," he said.

Mutuku also noted that they will be keen to mentor the junior athletes since they are the future of the nation. He revealed that for the upcoming Olympic Games, it's the juniors who will be flying the country's flag high and therefore they need mentorship.

He added that they are gearing up to host another edition of the Beach Games either in Busia or Homa Bay as they aim to improve the sport. This comes after the World Beach Games scheduled to happen in Bali, Indonesia were canceled.

"It was unfortunate that the World Beach Games were cancelled but that will not stop us from soaring higher. We want to host another edition of the Beach Games before the year ends. We have natural infrastructure that will enable us to do better in the Beach events," he said.

"With the presence of natural resources, Mutuku said athletes will be able to nurture their talents at a young she, and hosting the Beach Games will enhance interaction and collaboration among the youth.
