Triple Olympic champion Gabby Thomas has silenced Riley Gaines following her comments about Caitlin Clark.
Caitlin Clark was named athlete of the year by the Times magazine but she noted that being white might have played a huge role in her selection, revealing that many players did their best this season.
Clark, however, noted that she deserved the award since she had done exceptionally well but did not rule out the fact that there are many impressive black players.

"I want to say I’ve earned every single thing, but as a white person, there is privilege. A lot of those players in the league that have been really good have been Black players. This league has kind of been built on them," Clark said.
Riley Gaines, a huge critic of many athletes in the sporting scene felt the need to comment and slammed Caitlin Clark for her remarks.
The former swimmer added that playing basketball should be from within and no one asked her to go out of her way.
