veThe Directorate of Criminal Investigations has withdrawn from the second leg of the Kenya Volleyball Federation national women’s league due to colliding fixtures.
Head Coach Daniel Bor exclusively told Pulse Sport that the team will be jetting out of the country on March 17 or 18 for the fourth edition of the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO) Games in Rwanda.
In the weekend’s fixtures, DCI were scheduled to face Kenya Army in their opening match and then clash with Kenya Defense Forces on the second and final day.
“We shall not be available for this weekend’s games. I know it’s unfortunate. We shall be flying to Rwanda for EAPCCO Games,” the tactician said.
The first ever EAPCCO Games took place in 2017 at the Uganda Christian University (UCU) sports grounds, Uganda. The games played included volleyball, boxing, taekwondo, football, netball, athletics and shooting.
Law enforcement agencies from the 14 EAPCCO countries will compete in 16 sports disciplines, including athletics, football, basketball, handball, and boxing. Others are volleyball, Karate, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, netball, Judo, rugby, and shooting.
Kenya, hosts Rwanda, Burundi, Seychelles are among the countries that are part of EAPCCO.
