Kadondi will also have a borehole in the community of Nambusuli Village, Butaleja Sun-county named after her.
Kadondi’s remarkable achievements at the Netball World Cup, where Uganda achieved a fifth-place finish, were celebrated through a heartfelt thanksgiving event in her hometown which she added with her parents.
"I am thrilled that of the support that the district has shown me considering that I am the first Netball player from the district to appear on the world stage," an overwhelmed Kadondi said.
"I was also informed that I will be receiving two pieces of land in the East and West part of the district for my contributions to the district and nation as a whole.“
Kadondi added: "I promise to go back to the district and inspire the young boys and girls at institutions at all levels and advise them on the rewards that can be achieved through sports."
The district Local Council V, Micheal Higenyi, revealed that the She Cranes star had been officially commissioned a road after her to appreciate her efforts.
"One of the council resolutions is to name Buzibira Road, one of the busiest roads in the district after Kadondi and will now be known as Ms Faridah Kadondi Road."
"The council has also resolved to approve land where we expect the Uganda Netball Federation to help us develop a modern Netball court,“ Higenyi noted.
The She Cranes representative, Charles Kirunda, urged Kadondi to leave a legacy in the district by forming her team.
"We are proud of you, and you need to leave a legacy in the district. I know you have the ability of having a team and the ability to support it,“ Kirunda addressed at the function.
In what has been a brilliant gesture from the Butaleja district, Faridah Kadondi and her legacy in the community will forever be remembered.
Kadondi is versatile player who plays both goal defender and goalkeeper for Makindye Weyonje Netball Club in the Netball Super League.
She also play basketball for KCCA Leopards in the National Basketball League, respectively.
