She Cranes head coach Fred Mugerwa might be impressed with the improvement of the She Cranes ahead of the 2023 Netball World Cup, but he asserts the team is still a work in progress.
With under 50 days to the global showpiece in South Africa, they finally shifted their training sessions to the indoor facility in Lugogo from the Africa Bible University facility in Lubowa.
"It has given us a boost because when we were in Lubowa, we didn't have a court to play on; it was only a field where we used to do fieldwork," Mugerwa said after the team's training session on Friday.

NETBALL Netball World Cup: She Cranes to shift training base to Lugogo
It is 50 days to the 2023 Netball World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa, and the She Cranes are yet to have a concrete preparation plan.
In Lubowa, the She Cranes struggled to train on a full court because the basketball hoops were not movable, which affected their usage of a full netball court.
"Here, the girls have gotten a chance to play against each other, seven against seven, and I think that has greatly boosted our morale," Mugerwa added.
The team has been putting in a shift for close to six weeks now, and Mugerwa is impressed with the fitness levels so far.

NETBALL 2023 Netball World Cup: She Cranes to play a series of trial games in Canada, Botswana
Before their opening game at the 2023 Netball World Cup against Singapore on July 28 in Cape Town, South Africa, the She Cranes will have a series of friendly matches in Canada, Pulse Sports can confirm.
"At least the fitness is there, and their endurance can last a distance. What we lack is the coordination, and that is what we are trying to work on to see that we can achieve what we want."
"I think the coordination is improving with the way they work together, apart from a few, but by the end of next week, we should be an improved team in all aspects," Mugerwa added.
The team will play at least two practice games against men on Monday.
