Prisons Netball Shooter Christine Namulumba Kango has set high targets for 2023 after bagging yet another accolade.
The newly crowned Uganda Netball Super League champion was awarded Player of the Month- April in the Real Stars Awards beating competition from NIC's Margret Bagala and KCCA's Shadia Nassanga.
Namulumba was awarded the gong for leading the wardresses to the netball title. She scored an impressive 791 goals in 20 games, making her the season's top goal scorer.
Speaking to Pulse Sports Uganda, Namulumba said she hopes to make the final cut for the netball world cup. She is among the 30 provisional players in the She Cranes training camp.
"I aim to make it to the final list for the She Cranes," Namulumba told Pulse Sports before adding.
"If I make it, I will do my best and become the MVP. We should not stop dreaming; it is possible. If it doesn't happen this year, it's very likely in the future."
Namulumba is training with the Prisons Netball Club ahead of the East African Club Championships slated for May 13th at the Nyayo Stadium in Kenya, Nairobi.
Prisons, NIC and Weyonje, will represent Uganda following the withdrawal of KCCA.
