The iconic Safari Rally Kenya has secured its place as the third round of the expanded 2025 calendar, which features 14 events, marking a significant expansion in the series' global footprint.

The 2025 season will kick off with the traditional Monte Carlo Rally in January, starting from Gap, France.
This rally promises to be the most challenging in recent years, featuring a nighttime start with three stages run in complete darkness reminiscent of the 2018 season.
From the icy twists of Monte Carlo, the championship will move to the snowy landscapes of Sweden in February, followed by the dusty trails of Kenya on the weekend of March 20-23.

The Kenyan driver has maintained his unbeaten streak by winning the Zambia Rally advancing his lead in the African Rally Championship.
April welcomes back Spain to the WRC calendar after a two-year hiatus with the Rally Islas Canarias.
Previously a highlight of the European Rally Championship, the Canary Islands event will replace the Croatian rally, which has been unable to secure a renewal.
The calendar continues with a string of seven consecutive gravel rallies, starting with Portugal and moving through iconic locations like Sardinia and the historic Acropolis Rally in Greece, which returns to its traditional June slot.
The summer months will see the WRC return to Estonia, replacing Latvia, and then move on to a brand-new rally in Paraguay in August.
The season's penultimate events will feature the Central European Rally with asphalt stages across Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic, and then head to Japan for another challenging asphalt rally.
The season will conclude with a debut event in Saudi Arabia in November. This new rally, set for a decade-long tenure, marks the first Middle East event in the WRC since the Jordan Rally in 2011.

WRC Promoter Managing Director Jona Siebel expressed his enthusiasm for the 2025 lineup.
“This is a hugely exciting calendar which perfectly blends our traditional rallies with three exciting new challenges, two of which are outside of Europe, highlighting once again the global appeal of our championship,” Siebel said.
He added, “From the ice in the French Alps, knee-deep snow in Sweden, blinding dust in Kenya and Sardinia, high-speed gravel rollercoasters in Finland and Estonia and finally deserts in Saudi Arabia – the variety we are offering in 2025 is unrivalled.”
