MOTORSPORTS Kenyan driver Hamza Anwar among junior stars to debut Fiesta Rally3 Evo in Italy
The event not only hosts the series' opening gravel round but also marks the FIA WRC debut of M-Sport's recently unveiled Ford Fiesta Rally3 Evo.
However, the gruelling opening day led to Anwar’s retirement from the rally quite unexpectedly, as his Ford Fiesta came to a halt when his engine inhaled huge amounts of sand.
Diego Dominguez is currently leading the FIA WRC Junior category after edging Roberto Blach in SS4. At the same time, William Creighton, who started the rally carried a 21-point advantage, is third while his French rival Laurent Pellier is fourth.
