The two sides come into the game at the back of identical 1-0 losses, Zambia to Egypt and Uganda to Mali, and hoping for an improved show.

The Zambia national team Chipolopolo will hope to implement the lessons that they picked from Egypt loss when they face Uganda Cranes in an international friendly on Tuesday night in Dubai.

The two sides come into the game at the back of identical 1-0 losses, Zambia to Egypt and Uganda to Mali, and hoping for an improved show.

The team’s captain Lubambo Musonda says that they will use the match to fill in some gaps ahead of a busy fixture.

“We picked a lot of lessons from the game [vs Egypt] and look forward to implementing them against Uganda,” Lubambo told Football Association of Zambia media.

“The game is important, especially now that we’re playing for the World Cup as we prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations in January,” he adds.

Chipolopolo will start the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign in November against Congo and Eritrea.

They were placed in Group A alongside Morocco, Niger and Uganda’s neighbour Tanzania as well.

They’ll face Morocco and Tanzania in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast in a Group F that also has DR Congo.
