Manchester United boss Amorim has hinted at monumental tactical changes to the side as he embarks on his Red Devil's tenure.
Manchester United’s new boss, Ruben Amorim, has wasted no time hinting at the tactical shifts fans can expect as he begins his journey at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese manager who assumed his role on November 11, has taken on the daunting challenge of turning around the Red Devils’ troubled season.
After a disappointing start to the Premier League campaign, Manchester United finds themselves languishing in 13th place, with just 15 points from 11 matches.
Four wins, three draws, and four losses led to the dismissal of Erik ten Hag, with the United hierarchy entrusting Amorim to revive their fortunes.
One of the key talking points since Amorim’s arrival has been the potential overhaul of United’s tactical approach.

'There is always a first time'-Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola unfazed by record consecutive defeats
Brighton came from Behind to hand Guardiola and Manchester City their fourth straight defeat in what has been a rough patch for the defending champions.
While Ten Hag predominantly relied on a back four with wingers providing width, Amorim’s successful stint at Sporting CP was built around a three-at-the-back, complemented by wingbacks.
Although it remains unclear whether Amorim will immediately impose his Sporting blueprint or wait until the January transfer window to bring in players tailored to his philosophy, the tactician has promised changes.
“For sure, you will see an idea on the tactical point of view. You may like it, you may not – but you will see positioning, something that we want to reach at that kind of level," stated Amorim as per Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The new manager exuded confidence in his squad’s ability to adapt, emphasizing that his players were more than capable of meeting the high demands of playing for Manchester United.
“I do not want to say that we need time just because we are a young team. They are prepared,” Amorim declared.
“They are prepared to cope with the demands of playing for Manchester United, they should be because they are here.”
Amorim also spoke passionately about the club’s illustrious history, expressing his desire to restore its glory.
“We are Manchester United. It’s the biggest club in England,” he said.
“The history must inspire us, so I want to do something special in this special club. We have to address that even if it’s been a long time since we won the Premier League, and try to win again.”
