Coach Wasswa Bbosa has parted ways with Uganda premier league side Gaddafi FC
It’s not a secret anymore that Wasswa Bbosa will not continue as the head coach of Gaddafi FC beyond the just-concluded season.
The coach arrived mid-2021/22 on low-key before taking over officially at the beginning of the season.
However, after securing safety, the experienced coach and the Soldier Boys have decided not to extend their relationship.
According to the club president Lt. Edrine Ochieng, the club is taking another direction which they feel someone else should handle.
“The coach did a great job but we decided not to renew the contract between us,” Ochieng revealed.
“We’re trying to restructure the team as we go back to our strategy of grooming younger players. We want to groom players for the next two or three years, so our plan is to get someone who will fit into that system and push the strategy,” he added without mentioning some of the candidates for the job.
Gaddafi finished 11th in the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League with 31 points, five above Blacks Power, who were chopped.
