The FUFA President Moses Magogo has quashed the comparisons between former Uganda Cranes coach Sebastian Desabre and the current Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic.
There have been concerns over Micho’s style of play and reserved approach to the game, oftentimes measured against the Frenchman's.
Desabre was at the helm of the Uganda Cranes from July 2017 to July 2019, leading the Cranes to the 2019 AFCON, where the team made it out of the groups for the first time since 1978.

His brand of attacking football endeared him to most Uganda Cranes fans but Magogo says that was because most of the members of the team were at their peak.

“There was a comparative with coach Desabre but we must understand that the situations are different,” Magogo explains.

“Desabre is an extremely good coach, and I believe in him, but he was operating in an environment where there was an established national football team.
“[We had] very senior players who were at their peak, but it’s not exactly the same [now] because we have players who are getting their first cap,” he adds further.
Desabre is currently managing the Democratic Republic of Congo.
