In the aftermath of the Cranes' failure to qualify, several Ugandans have expressed disappointment in the team but, especially the coach, for continued heartbreaks and below-par performances.

Ugandans have already taken to social media to call for head coach Milutin Sredojevic's immediate sacking, while others believe the team and the game in general are going nowhere with FUFA President Moses Magogo still at the helm.
"Whoever is blaming our national team for not qualifying for AFCON is an idiot... you can't expect a team to compete without its 12th player, THE FANS," Idringi posted on his social media Friday morning.
He added: "Let's hold the right people accountable for this misfortune but not the Coach."
The Cranes have had to play two of their three home matches miles away from Uganda due to a lack of a stadium that fits the minimum required standards to host AFCON Qualifiers.
But even in the game played in front of home fans, Uganda only managed a 1-1 draw with Niger at St. Mary's Kitende and fell short in the end.

Throughout the qualifiers, Uganda played one match in front of its home fans, the 1-1 draw with Niger at St. Mary’s Kitende to open the campaign.
Idringi raises a good point, but Ugandan fans are not in the mood to listen to anyone defending the most funded national team that continues to post poor results, while several other teams miss out on international engagements due to a lack of government support.
Uganda needed to win and pray for Tanzania to lose to group leaders Algeria. But Tanzania picked a valuable point in Algiers to return to AFCON for the first time since 2019 and lock Uganda out.
They completed the qualifiers with seven points from six games and will now miss AFCON for the second time in a row.
