When Will The EPL, La Liga, Serie A & Bundesliga Titles Be Confirmed?

Pulse Sports Team 12:54 - 10.04.2025

We’re very much in the business end of the season throughout Europe, with many of the major leagues to be decided in April and May.

The gap between first and second in the English Premier League and Bundesliga means we already have a strong idea of which teams will win those respective leagues.

However, the title race in La Liga and Serie A are both set to go the distance. The same can’t be said of Ligue 1, as PSG wrapped up their fourth consecutive league title last weekend after beating Angers 1-0, moving an unassailable 22 points clear of second-placed Marseille.

EPL: When will Liverpool win the title?

Liverpool have the biggest lead among the first-placed teams in the leagues we’re focusing on. The Reds are 11 points ahead of Arsenal with seven matches to play, meaning they should win their 20th English top-flight title this month. 12 points will win them the league, meaning if they win their next four matches against West Ham, Leicester, Tottenham and Chelsea, Arne Slot’s men will confirm their title win on 4 May, assuming Arsenal also achieve four wins from four.

However, if Liverpool beat West Ham this Sunday and Arsenal pick up no more than one point in their next two matches against Brentford and Ipswich, then Liverpool will officially be crowned champions by beating Leicester at the King Power Stadium on 20 April.

Bundesliga: The countdown to Harry Kane’s first major trophy is on

Bayern Munich are no strangers to a Bundesliga title, with 33 already to their name. After winning 11 in a row, they were stunned by Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten campaign last season but are set to make it title number 34 this month.

Vincent Kompany’s men are six points clear of Leverkusen with six matches to play. Both teams are unbeaten in three matches, with Bayern facing the tricky prospect of Borussia Dortmund this Saturday. The earliest Bayern could get their hands on the trophy is 26 April, providing they win their next three matches and Leverkusen pick up no more than three points in that time.

If both teams continue on their winning run in the league, then Bayern would clinch the title on 10 May, requiring only a draw against Monchengladbach. This means Harry Kane isn’t too far from finally winning the first major trophy of his career at the age of 31, and it would be fully deserved with 59 goals in 58 Bundesliga games to his name.

La Liga: Barcelona firmly in driving seat

Barcelona have managed to extend their lead at the top of La Liga to four points in recent weeks, mainly due to Real Madrid’s inconsistencies. Madrid’s 2-1 home defeat to Valencia last weekend was a hammer blow but the 3-0 loss to Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League, means their season is on verge of imploding.

The most interesting aspect of the title race is the fact Barcelona host Real Madrid in a huge El Clasico fixture on 11 May, with three matches to play after its conclusion. If both teams win all four matches before 11 May, then Barcelona will sensationally clinch their 28th La Liga title with victory over their bitter rivals.

Any more slips for Madrid before then and a draw could be enough for Barca in El Clasico. It’s also worth noting that Atletico Madrid are just three points behind Real but a seven point gap between them and Barcelona is surely too much at this stage.

If Real Madrid beat Barcelona, that would put them right back in contention or perhaps even overtake Barcelona, depending on any twists and turns before then. However, Barcelona are still strong favourites at 1.20 with Bet9ja to lift the title.

Serie A - Inter and Napoli could go all the way

Inter Milan are in pole position to secure a third Serie A title in five seasons and retain their crown. Inter sit three points ahead of 2022/23 champions Napoli, with seven matches to play. Both teams dropped points this past weekend with draws, but neither can afford any more slip ups with the state of play so tight.

Inter’s next three fixtures see them play fourth-placed Bologna and Roma, who are seventh. The black and blues are also in Coppa Italia and UCL action, meaning they are fighting on three fronts in such a short period of time.

On the other hand, Napoli are fully focused on the league and have a more favourable fixture list, only playing one side in the top 10 - 10th-placed Torino - in the remainder of the season. That means we could well see the Serie A title race go all the way to the last day on 25 May. Napoli host struggling Cagliari on that date, while Inter are away to mid-table Como. While it seems it’s anyone’s guess on who will secure the title, Bet9ja still has Inter as firm favourites at 1.25. Do you agree with those odds?
