Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has admitted his team is hurting from the continued injury absence of midfielder Wilfred Ndidi as they geared up for a crucial Championship clash against Leeds United.
Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that the Super Eagles defensive midfielder was conspicuously missing as Championship leaders visited Elland Road to face the Whites.

Injury update on Super Eagles’ midfielder
Ndidi has not featured for Leicester since December 29th against Cardiff, missing their last 11 matches across competitions as well as the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria due to injury.
Leicester manager spoke on the health of his team ahead of the game which saw both teams produce a four-goal thriller.

"The only one at the moment is Wilf. He is still injured,” he said per Leicester website. “One of our best players, or best position, is Wilf," Maresca added.
With Ndidi sidelined alongside Cesare Casadei, Maresca acknowledged Leicester are missing leadership and steel in central midfield heading into the top-of-the-table showdown with Leeds.

"Now they’re not there so we try to adapt. Unfortunately, Wilf is still injured," he added.
The Foxes failed to find a way to cope without defensive lynchpin Ndidi as Leeds came from behind to beat the Foxes 3-1 in a dramatic encounter to reduce the gap between them to just six points.
After the defeat, Maresca will be hoping the influential Nigerian can return to action soon as Leicester look to make an immediate return to the Premier League.
Ndidi enjoyed a new lease of life under Maresca, who deployed him in a more advanced midfield role at Leicester. The Super Eagles star scored two goals and assisted five more before his layoff.
