Erling Haaland has spoken about his heated moments after Manchester City's late equaliser against Arsenal as he reflects on playing for Norway

Erling Haaland, the prolific Manchester City striker, recently spoke out about his controversial incident with Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes during their intense 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium.

Following John Stones’s dramatic equaliser, Haaland infamously threw the ball at Gabriel’s head, an act that sparked tension on and off the pitch.

Despite the backlash, Haaland remains unapologetic, stating, "I don’t regret much in life. In the heat of the moment, things happened in that game. What happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch."

The match, characterized by its high stakes and fierce rivalry, saw both teams embroiled in a heated contest that left emotions running high.

Gabriel later described the clash as a “war” between the two title contenders, hinting at the growing animosity.

Haaland's actions, along with a post-match altercation with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, underscored the intensity of the rivalry.

On a different note, Haaland also shared his views on the congested football schedule, echoing sentiments expressed by teammate Rodri about the possibility of players going on strike.

"There is too much football," he remarked, highlighting the physical strain on players. He noted how a summer off, due to Norway not qualifying for Euro 2024, has rejuvenated him.

"My head is more rested. It’s more important than people think to have a break from your job," he emphasized.

While he prepares to captain Norway in upcoming matches against Slovenia and Austria, Haaland is also on the cusp of breaking his country's goal-scoring record.

He expressed excitement about potentially surpassing the 33-goal mark set by Jorgen Juve, affirming his commitment to the national team: "You can see how much I like to play for the national team. I really enjoy it."
