Bayer Leverkusen's Xabi Alonso is not happy with how Victor Boniface and his teammates failed to hold on to their lead twice.
Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has expressed his dissatisfaction with Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface and his teammates following a frustrating 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen on Saturday.
Despite taking the lead twice during the match, Leverkusen were unable to secure all three points, conceding a late equaliser in the 90th minute.

Boniface, who returned to the squad after missing the previous Champions League match against impressive Ligue 1 outfit Brest due to a car accident, celebrated his comeback by scoring the opening goal in the 30th minute.
He flicked in a cross from Jeremie Frimpong, marking his seventh goal of the season in eight matches across competitions.
However, his efforts were overshadowed by defensive lapses that allowed Bremen to level the score twice.
After the match, Alonso was critical of his team's performance. “We can’t be satisfied after giving away the lead twice,” he stated.
“It’s not the first time that’s happened to us this season. At the moment, we are lacking stability. If we can get that back, we’ll be better.”
This sentiment reflects his frustration as he seeks to maintain the high standards set during last season's historic double triumph.
Leverkusen now prepare for their next challenge, facing Elversberg in the DFB Pokal before returning to Bundesliga action against Stuttgart at home next Friday.
The team currently sits third in the league standings, trailing behind Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig. Alonso will be looking for a more consistent performance from his players as they aim to regain their winning form.
