Teso, West Nile, Buganda and Lang’o have qualified for the quarterfinal of the 2023 FUFA Drum tournament
Second-half goals by Cromwell Rwothmio and Junior Andama ensured that West Nile overcame Busoga Province 2-1 in Adjumani to qualify for the quarterfinal of the 2023 FUFA Drum.
Group C had earlier been touted to be the pool of death and has now lived to the billing as Bugisu awaits the West Nile side to decide the other team that will advance.
The 2-1 win lifted West Nile to the top with six points from two wins as Busoga now pray for favours from them to keep Bugisu at arm’s length in the final match.

UPL NEC will turn Lugogo into a fortress, Mbalangu says
The team’s success last season was largely attributed to their home form at Bugolobi, but Mbalangu says that they can carry the same form to Lugogo.
Bugisu will need to win by a margin of three unanswered goals to go through.
In the other games played, Jamil Kisitu netted in the 51st minute against Tooro to revive Bunyoro’s chances.
The win took Bunyoro to four points, the same as Tooro and will need favours from Buganda to beat the latter by more than two goals for any chance.
Teso Province clipped Ankole 2-1 on Saturday to book a place in the quarterfinals together with Lang’o, who scrapped a 1-all draw against Kampala at Wankulukuku.
Teso province’s Isaac Ogwang leads the golden boot race with three goals as Tito Okello (Acholi), Isaac Wagoina (Busoga), Emmanuel Mukisa (Bugisu) and Junior Andama from West Nile follow with two each.
