According to Odhiambo, the bankers have the quality and the intestinal fortitude to withstand the challenge and deliver first title

KCB coach Patrick Odhiambo has promised the team's adoring fans that the bankers will leave their hearts on the field in order to ensure they dethrone serial winners Gor Mahia from the 2024-25 season FKF Premier League title.

Odhiambo's revelation is born from the fact that the Ruaraka-based side are the current league leaders after amassing 21  points from 10 matches.

Odhiambo, commonly known as Luwowo in football circles, acknowledges that his team might experience hurdles along the way but is banking on experience and a boisterous squad to finally end the team's title wait.

“People think that we are just playing here for fun, I want to assure you that the best is yet to come, we are going to maintain top performances in our future matches,” Odhiambo told SportsBoom.

"The race is still open, and we’re not here just to be pacesetters. We have the depth, determination, and experience to push Gor Mahia and ensure we take this to the wire," he added.

KCB's form has been one of the best in the league this season, with just one loss the only time KCB have failed to register a result. The team has managed six wins and three draws although the season is still in its infancy, astute defending makes the bankers' watertight defense hard to break.

Odhiambo emphasised the importance of staying on top of the table for as long as possible, and that the club's ultimate goal is to win the Premier League title.

KCB is the most ruthless team in front of goal in the division after finding the back of the net on 16 occasions.
