Their last league meeting was abandoned due to crowd trouble.

Kakamega Homeboyz founder and chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has sent a bring it on message to their Ingo rivals, AFC Leopards ahead of their FKF Cup semi-final clash.

Homeboyz systematically took apart Kariobangi Sharks 6-1 to advance to the semi-finals at Kasarani on Saturday. AFC Leopards must have taken inspiration from Homeboyz’ performance, as they also dismantled Bandari at the same venue 3-0, costing Anthony Modo Kimani his job on Monday morning.

After seeing that his side were to face Leopards, Shimanyula went bullish. According to Vuma Sports, the owner vowed to “teach Leopards a lesson” and that his team would “triumph even in a GSU camp”.

“Kakamega Homeboyz will teach AFC leopards a soccer lesson during the FKF Cup semifinals, my boys will triumph even if the game is played in a GSU camp, they should go ask Kariobangi Sharks.”

A fortnight ago, AFC Leopards were docked three points for failing to control their fans during the abandoned Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match on Sunday at Bukhungu Stadium.

In addition, FKF awarded the match to Homeboyz on a three points, two goals basis.

The FKF Leagues and Competition Committee said the decisions were arrived at after perusing the submissions from both teams and the match report from the officials.

The match was abandoned in the 31st minute due to crowd trouble, seven minutes after Hillary Otieno had given Homeboyz the lead.
